It is with a heavy heart that due to COVID restrictions, we have elected to withdraw from all in-person markets until further notice. The current restrictions impose the following conditions and ramifications, making it unsuitable for our business, and a suboptimal way to serve our customers.
Too few people are allowed to attend
We love interacting with everyone, but the current regulations don’t permit enough people to attend at once to make business sense. Vendors must be allowed to serve customers well and to prosper at markets or they are not sustainable. By imposing a 15%, 25% or 50% capacity limit, we cannot afford to attend markets.
Vendors must be spaced further apart which reduces the number booths customers may visit and increases the distance everyone must walk to in order shop. This weakens the experience for both customers and vendors.
Sampling is strongly discouraged
For many vendors, especially food vendors, sampling is an essential way to introduce products to new customers. At least two staff members per booth are required for sampling which is unaffordable for most small businesses, and reduces the total number of customers that are allowed to attend the market.
Socializing is strongly discouraged
One of the best reasons to attend in-person markets is the opportunity to interact with and support one another. Without this incentive, other options start to become more attractive.
Face to face encounters are more personable and masks interfere with this normal way of relating to one another. Under these circumstances, interacting in other ways offers more comfort and freedom for all concerned.
In response to this situation, and in order to continue to give you the best possible service, we are happy to offer the following alternatives.

We love hosting online market events, giving us all a chance to interact in even more engaging ways. These events have proven to be very popular. The time always seems to fly by all too quickly. We will be hosting our online markets more frequently and you can talk to us LIVE, see our behind-the-scenes operations and visit with us for an afternoon of fun.
Free Local Delivery
We have always strived to provide stellar customer service, and we have been leading the way with our most popular free* local delivery for many years. We are also working on ways to increase delivery days and routes to serve you better and faster :)

We ship for free* outside of our free local delivery zones in Canada.
*Minimum order sizes of $75 in Alberta, and $125 in the rest of Canada.
Otherwise, we offer discounted shipping for only $15 throughout Canada. We also ship internationally, leveraging bulk shipping rates to pass on the savings to you.
