Herbology with Forever Bee

I am absolutely vibrating with excitement this month to talk about Herbology. We have been touching on Herbology topics for the past few months and we have received so much amazing feedback from you all.

Did you know that we grow many of our own herbs which we then use in our Herbal Remedies? The ones that we cannot grow ourselves we purchase from reputable "gardens" from around the world.

The reason why I use natural herbal remedies is because I love how much more I feel in harmony with nature and my body. I know each of the ingredients, I know how it works with my body and I have never had adverse reactions from it.

Here are a few of the incredible natural Herbal Remedies we have talked about and ones that I use in my own home:

Eucalyptus Chest Rub

Honey Lozenges

Honey Lozenges are perfect year round. It is easy to make, soothing on sore throats, calming on coughs and it tastes amazing.

You can also easily add some essential oils for flavour. Some of my favourites are Eucalyptus, Licorice, Peppermint, Spearmint, Cinnamon or Orange.


Nettle Tea

This month I would love to focus on Stinging Nettles :) It might seem like a strange herbal recipe but it is one of my favourites to use because of the many benefits and uses it has.

Nettle Tea
- use as a tea to cleanse the kidneys and bladder; breaks up kidney stones; - reduces inflammation, stiffness and pain in joints;
- provides relief against diarrhea and dysentery; treats acidity, flatulence and constipation;
- reduces symptoms of seasonal allergies;
- purifies the blood and increases red blood cells which helps with anemia; - reduces symptoms of PMS mood swings, pain and bleeding;
- positive effect on nerve health such as sciatica and neuralgia;
- prevents gingivitis and other oral diseases.


Alfalfa Tonic

Alfalfa is one of those perfect herbs that can fulfill many uses in your herbal kit. Alfalfa contains a whole host of your daily vitamins and minerals and it is easily absorbed as well. Start off your day with a hot Alfalfa Tonic to get your daily vitamin and energy boost.


Echinacea, Ginger, Garlic Tincture

This Garlic Tincture recipe is ideal for using as a potent antibiotic.
